In 1992, the Government of Canada designated the month of October as Women's History Month. The annual month long celebration highlights the achievements of women and girls who are contributing to a better, more inclusive Canada.
This month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women and girls across the country and throughout our history. In Canada and around the world, we continue to champion girls’ rights, including freedom from violence and abuse, as well as equal opportunities in education and the work force.

Please share the stories of women leaders in your communities and continue to uplift and support their voices.
