International Day of Charity is marked annually on September 5th. Declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, it intends to raise awareness about global poverty and emphasize its eradication as a requirement for sustainable development. The 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, adopted by UN member states in 2015, calls for global solidarity in helping the most vulnerable around the world. Canada will always help those in need and work together with our partners to create a better, more sustainable world for everyone.
